Being a parent has been my most cherish experience.
The unconditional love children share has bestowed upon me more joy than I could have believed possible. Children become part of you, not an extension, but a part of your inner soul. . 

One man's evil...

It was never conceivable to me that someone would harm my child. Especially not someone I knew. I didn't even consider
the possibilities. They were too frightening. No one 'I knew' could possibly do anything that horrible to my child. 

In 1990 Jonathan Tampico was sentenced to 6 years in
prison for lewd and lascivious acts on a child under the age of 14. My child. My beautiful young son.

The forever guilt...

Am I a bad mother? Was my son harmed because I wasn't
diligent enough? Could I have saved my son from the horrors of child sexual abuse? Was my judgment at stake, my parenting skills? What had 'I' done wrong?

The real answer...

My son was molested by my former next door neighbor.
It was Jonathan Tampico's fault. He was the devious, evil perpetrator that stole the very innocence from my child. He, and all those like him, are the ones who bear the responsibility for the haunting eyes, and the silent tortured souls -- they are the abusers.
 

If you are a parent whose child has been abused, please remember it was the stalker, the child predator, the evil child hunter that committed those unthinkable acts. You were not to blame. It is a secret, silent crime. Please forgive yourself so that healing can begin...

To all caring adults...

Please help us in this cause. If you see something that doesn't look right, please get involved. You might be the 'one' trusted adult who can rescue a child. Child abuse scars last a lifetime.

To those who might harm a child...

If you are a child predator please seek help for your impulses. Please leave our children alone. What you believe to be a consentual sexual relationship with a child 'is' child abuse. You are stealing their most inner souls - their innocence.

You leave the child with nightmares, shaken identities, low self-esteem, embarrassment, and guilt that what happened was their fault. The purpose is strictly to fulfill your personal desire. Whatever your belief - it is self-serving.

Final thoughts...
